PHIL ALCABES | Executive Producer / Founder
An experienced producer and director with a demonstrated history of working in broadcast and digital media. 25+ years experience producing marketing and on-air promotions for Showtime. A Strong business development professional, Phil created, produced and directed “Toughest Tailgate”, a series on CBS sports sponsored by Ford Trucks. He’s produced and directed original programming like “Secrets of Homeland”, a co-branded special for Showtime, music programs for PBS. Director of live televised entertainment programs including ABC’s The View and NBC’s Olympics for which he won an Emmy Award and has directed live music programs for Lincoln Center. Recent directing work garnered an Accolade Hollywood Merit Award for the music video "Wangari Maathai” He has held key roles in two successful network launches —Smithsonian Channel and at EDAN Networks where as Creative Director his company was in charge of tv marketing and promotion. In addition, Phil is an experienced Technical Director. Programs include: Late Night David Letterman, The Daily Show, 50 Cent’s “Power” season premier press event from Radio City Music Hall, Calvin Klein runway shows, USA’s Mr. Robot after show starring Remi Malek, Red Carpet programs and live publicity events for Netflix and others. When not shooting or on location, Phil leads the team at Roundhead, creating and producing content, overseeing editors, animators, audio engineers and collaborating with other producers. Otherwise, Phil enjoys playing music with friends and spending time with his family.

Mike is one of television’s best-known marketing and programming executives. For more than 12 years, the Emmy Award winner was the head of marketing and promotion for A&E Networks, where he helped launch The History Channel and broaden it to Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2014 he led another launch as the head of programming and marketing for EDAN, an entertainment television network distributed by Canal+ to 24 countries in French-speaking Africa. Mike began his career at NBC, where he rose to become the head of marketing and advertising and was credited with the development of the NBC Peacock, one of television’s most iconic logos.

DAVID L. SMITH
David is a media and business development executive with extensive credits in launching and managing media and telecommunications businesses. He is the co-founder and former president of The Newborn Channel, NBC Universal's advertiser-supported hospital television network. At Deloitte Consulting he specialized in advising businesses—including NPR, Sprint and AMC—on strategy and operations. In 2014 he became the head of programming and marketing operations at EDAN, the African television network seen in 24 French-speaking countries. Smith began his career at NBC and MGM, and subsequently led business units for the development and marketing of consumer and business services at Mediacom, Charter Communications, and Optimum/Cablevision.
