PHIL ALCABES | Executive Producer / Founder
Phil has been providing creative and production services to broadcast networks, national brands and digital media providers ever since he founded Roundhead Creative in 1990. He develops and produces original programming from concept to completion with his team. Phil directs and produces live televised entertainment programs and brings years of experience to branding, marketing and promotions. A seasoned director on a wide range of programs including ABC’s The View and NBC’s Olympics which he won an Emmy Award. Recent directing work garnered an Accolade Hollywood Merit Award for the music video "Wangari Maathai”. Phil created, produced and directed “Toughest Tailgate”, a series on CBS sports sponsored by Ford Trucks and has produced and directed other original content like “Secrets of Homeland” a co-branded special for Showtime. He’s produced music programs for PBS and directed live music shows for Lincoln Center. Phil has held key roles in two successful network launches —Smithsonian Channel and EDAN Networks. In addition, Phil is an experienced Technical Director of live broadcast events and studio and location programs, including 50 Cent’s “Power” season premier press event from Radio City Music Hall, Calvin Klein runway shows, USA’s after show for “Mr. Robot” with Remi Malek, and a live publicity event for Ben Affleck’s feature film, Triple Frontier, on Netfix.
When not shooting or on location, Phil leads the team at Roundhead, creating and producing content, overseeing editors, animators, audio engineers and collaborating with other producers. Otherwise, Phil enjoys playing music with friends and spending time with his family.
